Jason Jayanth - Lead Instructor, AcademiesPrep
LEAD INSTRUCTOR

Jason Jayanth

Director of Instruction & Lead Instructor, ACL Admissions Prep

Jason didn't learn the ACL admissions process from a textbook. He lived it. He went through the Academies of Loudoun admissions process himself — the STEM Assessment, the Writing Assessment, all of it — and earned his spot. He attended the Academies of Loudoun, so the program, the culture, and the expectations are not abstract concepts to him. They're deeply personal.

That firsthand experience is what makes Jason's instruction different. He knows exactly what it feels like to sit down for the STEM Assessment under time pressure. He knows what the writing evaluators are actually looking for because he wrote those responses himself. And he knows how to translate that experience into clear, actionable guidance — the kind of coaching he wishes he'd had when he was preparing.

Jason leads every aspect of our ACL admissions prep: STEM Assessment strategy across all five domains, Writing Assessment technique, and the academic planning that ties it all together. His approach is precise, student-centered, and grounded in the reality of what this process actually demands.

CO-FOUNDER

Neil Kothari

Co-Founder & Curriculum Architect

Neil is a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJHSST), where he served as Student Government President. He went on to earn his B.S. from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce, studying Finance and Applied Statistics — and spent five years at Goldman Sachs and in private equity before walking away to build EduAvenues full-time.

Through TJTestPrep by EduAvenues, Neil has helped over 2,000 families and sends 100+ students to TJHSST per admissions cycle — making it the largest TJ prep program in existence. He's reviewed over 83,000 student responses, and his students have earned more than $4.1 million in scholarships. He also served on the TJ Partnership (Endowment) Fund's Board of Directors.

Neil built AcademiesPrep because the ACL admissions landscape has the same structural problems he saw in TJ prep a decade ago — and because Loudoun County families deserve the same caliber of preparation that TJTestPrep families get. He architects the curriculum, designs the assessment strategy, and ensures that everything AcademiesPrep teaches is grounded in what the admissions process actually evaluates.
